Import Projects From Basecamp

Yes that’s right. If you upgrade to a paid plan you can now import your projects straight from 37Signals Basecamp. This saves you the hassle of having to do it manually if you ever need your Basecamp projects in MakeSomeTime. If you have any feedback on the new functionality then please let us know.

At the moment the only functionality is importing projects however we might extend this in the future to importing timed tasks and other syncing.

MakeSomeTime Review on Lifehacker.com

After being inundated with emails about MakeSomeTime sign-ups we realised this morning that MakeSomeTime had been reviewed on Lifehacker.com.

We’ve looked at other nice web-based time-tracking apps, including computer-based software, and we like MakeSomeTime for how easy it is for users to track time from anywhere you happen to be working—from home or the local coffee shop.

We are excited about getting a good review on Lifehacker due to the size and reputation of the site. So head on over and check out the review and let us know what you think. Oh and if you’ve come from Lifehacker then welcome to MakeSomeTime.

MakeSomeTime Payment Plans

After our big news yesterday about the invoicing upgrade we are following up with some payment plans. It has been a long time coming and we have decided that this is the best way to move forward for everyone. We hope you find the plans acceptable and as always looks for your feedback on everything we do. So from today the limits on the service and prices are shown below.

As you can see we still offer the free version of MakeSomeTime and the upgrades are super cheap. If you need the extra breathing space login to MakeSomeTime and go to the Settings page to pick an upgrade plan.

Invoice Like a Pro

Yes that’s right. MakeSomeTime now has invoicing to make your working life as simple as it could possibly be. If you were smart you might have guessed this was coming after previous upgrades allowing you to set company information and budgets for projects. We felt this was an obvious addition to MakeSomeTime as we guessed the majority of you guys that use the service probably also have to create invoices. So we decided to make that as simple as possible for you. Below are some screenshots of the new invoicing section:

As always we would love to hear what you think about the new invoicing section of MakeSomeTime. We would also especially love to hear if you find any bugs or can think of any ways of improving the invoicing in MakeSomeTime. So login (or sign up) and get invoicing!

MakeSomeTime Review on KillerStartups

After a marketing flurry over the last few days MakeSomeTime has finally come into the radar and the guys at KillerStartups.com gave MakeSomeTime a great review.

The idea, then, is to let professionals have a realistic grip on how much they should charge, while clients can have the assurance that the amount which is charged is actually an accurate one. That is quite nurturing for both sides in the end, and the app has some true potential as a result.

So head on over and check out the review.
