New Pricing Scheme – $1/invoice

Today we have rolled out an upgrade to MakeSomeTime with a totally new pricing scheme designed to help out freelancers and other people who use this site.

We know that when your freelancing you don’t know when your going to have money, and that committing to a monthly fee might seem a bit scary. So we’ve decided to implement a pricing scheme that fits with the “do things simple” ethic of MakeSomeTime.

Now you have the ability to deposit money to your account. You can then use this money when sending invoices at a rate of just $1/invoice. How good is that! Note that you can create as many invoices as you like as you will only be charged when you send an invoice (and there is no cost for re-sending invoices). And that’s it. All other features of MakeSomeTime are now free and unlimited.

As always we would love to hear what you think about this new pricing scheme and we hope you enjoy it.

    1) Invoicing is a cost of doing business.
    2) The ease of this application and the features it has for invoicing are great
    3) The old pricing scheme was already a bargain
    4) While $1 per invoice is a great bargain for me, it is IMO way underpriced for Make Some Time.

I would suggest a model that uses the $1 per invoice for invoices under $500 (for smalltime project) and then charges a percentage of the invoice total for larger projects. So a $501 project with a 1 percent invoicing charge would net you $5, a $10,000 project (Like the one I’m working on now) would net you $100. Fast accurate invoicing is worth that to me. With your new structure, you’re only going to earn 1 dollar from my 10k project when I gladly would have paid around 100.

Perhaps you’ve already considered this and decided against a percentage structure, but it seems to me the higher the amount the more people would be willing to pay for it to be done right. My two cents. Love the application, want you to succeed.
