Just started using it (found via Lifehacker). So far so good, but it *really* needs a desktop widget type deal. Having to leave a browser window open can be risky. I consider myself lucky to have not accidentally closed it down already, or forgotten that the timer was still on. Perhaps a way to pop out a small browser window that’s just a timer? Something small and unobtrusive.
It would also be nice if the pay versions of MST created invoices without the MST stamp/logo. I understand the desire to advertise, but to me it seems that it diminishes the professional look. If this already does, great! I’m still on the free version.
I’ve been using MakeSomeTime for a few weeks now. Right now I’ve been using it to track the time and send invoice for a small bit of freelancing work I was doing, but I’ve actually also been using it to keep track of time spent on a personal project.
I agree with Robin that it would be nice to have some sort of small popup window that acts as a timer because I have forgotten about having the timer going before.
Personally, I’d also like to be able to add more details to tasks just for personal use so I can remember in more detail what that task entailed, or what part of the task has been completed, or what added problems arose while working on a certain task.
I love that MakeSomeTime requires so much less energy to get started. Getting started with Freshbooks left me frustrated just trying to get started. With this, it took less than a minute to set up, and I was working. Less time spent fiddling with the tools is what it is all about.
I do wish that Current Tasks were separated by projects (at least on the iPhone, where I primarily use it) as I frequently have multiple projects running. Other than that.. I love the interface.
